The timeless RPG Chrono Trigger, which first launched for Super Famicom in 1985, celebrates its 30th anniversary on March 11 in Japan. In a celebration post on its official Twitter account, Square Enix said users can look forward to various developments that go beyond the world of the game throughout the next year.
“To mark the 30th anniversary and to express our gratitude to everyone who has played Chrono Trigger so far, we are planning a variety of projects over the next year that will go beyond the world of the game,” reads the post. “Please look forward to the latest information, which will be posted via the Square Enix official X and @ChronoTriggerPR accounts.”
Chrono Trigger is currently available for PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. Ports of the game were also released for the original PlayStation and DS.
